CeeDee Lamb Injury Update

CeeDee Lamb Injury Update

After a limited practice Wednesday, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Josh Lamb will be a “full go” for Thursday’s game against the Lions. Head coach Mike McCarthy said that Lamb will practice again on Thursday. He did not elaborate on whether he would take part in a limited practice or a full one.

Michael Gallup

The Dallas Cowboys have activated wide receiver Michael Gallup after CeeDee Lamb’s injury. Gallup tore his left anterior cruciate ligament in Week 17 last season but was kept off injured reserve. The Cowboys used Gallup’s waiver claim to start the season and he played four games before the ACL tear. Gallup’s return is a welcome development, as he will give the Cowboys another option behind CeeDee Lamb. Lamb took over as the starting wide receiver following the trade of Amari Cooper to Cleveland.

Gallup should be a prime WR3 in Week 3. Although Brown has impressed in short spurts, he’s still a WR2. Gallup will provide Dallas with a big-play weapon and give CeeDee Lamb a boost in the slot. He’s a proven WR, and he’ll give Kellen Moore another option to scheme in the passing game.

Noah Brown

The Cowboys expected their number one wide receiver to come through this week, and they got it from Noah Brown. The rookie’s first touchdown was a highlight of the game and he showed why he’s a top receiver in this offense. Lamb rebounded nicely from his underwhelming outing against Tampa Bay. He was targeted 11 times and caught seven passes for 75 yards. While the Cowboys’ number two wideout was limited to just one reception and a dropped pass, he did show his talent by making some tough contested catches.

Since entering the NFL, Brown has had a huge impact on the Cowboys’ passing game. He led the team in receiving yards in the first two games against the Buccaneers and the Bengals and also scored a touchdown. This has been a turnaround for Brown, who hasn’t had much success in previous seasons.

Tony Pollard

On Friday, Tony Pollard was listed as sick on the Dallas Cowboys injury report. Today, however, he’s back on the active list and will play against the Rams. Pollard is a dynamic playmaker who splits snaps with Ezekiel Elliott. This is a good matchup for him if you want to maximize your flex value.

The Dallas Cowboys’ injuries report has been updated to include both Tony Pollard and CeeDee Lamb. Lamb was limited in practice Friday, while Pollard did not practice at all on Thursday. Lamb did return to practice, but he was listed as “questionable” for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Dak Prescott

The Dallas Cowboys have added wide receiver Josh Lamb to their injury report with a hip injury. Although the wideout had been a non-participant in Friday’s practice, he was listed as a probable for Sunday’s game against the Eagles. In that game, he caught five of ten targets for 68 yards and also ran twice for nine yards. The injury does not appear to be serious, however, as he was cleared to play on Thursday. The Cowboys will use Lamb as a primary option in the passing game next week, with Dak Prescott expected to return from a five-game absence against the Lions.

Despite the pain and discomfort, Dak Prescott is expected to play this Sunday. The quarterback has missed the last five games with a broken thumb, but he told reporters that he expected to start Sunday, despite Lamb’s injury. Head coach Mike McCarthy also hinted that Dak might start despite the pain. The Cowboys have been without a quarterback since Sept. 11, and this could be the perfect opportunity for him to get back in the game. The Detroit Lions are one of the worst defenses in the NFL, allowing 34.0 points per game to quarterbacks. Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks rank 31st in scoring defense.
