The Gorgeous Ozark Mountains in Arkansas

The Ozark Mountains in Arkansas are among the most beautiful landscapes in the country. You can take an unforgettable hiking trip to Whitaker Point, which is a natural outcrop in the shape of a hawk’s bill. This spectacular overlook has been featured in many Disney films and offers breathtaking views. This half-day hike will give you an incredible experience of nature.

Mount Magazine

Mount Magazine is a state park and part of the Ozark National Forest. In the 1800s, the area was home to many pioneers who came to farm and build lodges and cabins. Today, it is a popular destination for outdoor recreation and cooler temperatures.

Mount Nebo

The Arkansas mountain of Mount Nebo rises 1,350 feet above the surrounding mountain valleys, giving you a breathtaking view of 34,000-acre Lake Dardanelle, the Arkansas River, and surrounding mountain ridges. You’ll have the perfect vantage point from which to observe these landscapes and more!

Petit Jean Mountain

Petit Jean State Park is a 3,471-acre park managed by the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism. It is located on Petit Jean Mountain, adjacent to the Arkansas River. It lies between the Ouachita and Ozark Plateaus.

Table Rock

Located in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas, Table Rock Lake is a manmade body of water designed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It is impounded by a dam built in 1954 and 1958 on the White River.

Blue Buck Knob National Forest

One of the most spectacular places to experience nature is the Ozark Mountains. These beautiful mountains stretch for nearly 3,000 acres. They’re known for their rolling hills, spectacular coastline, and wildlife. The Blue Buck Knob Scenic Byway winds through the national forest and past striking pine woods and wildlife areas. The park is home to several attractions, including the famous Turner Bend, which has been open since 1911 and offers camping, canoeing, and whitewater rafting. Just be aware that during peak season, this scenic spot can get crowded.

Thorncrown Chapel

The Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, is an interesting architectural piece. Its design is reminiscent of the Prairie School of architecture popularized by Frank Lloyd Wright. It was constructed in 1980 and has been a landmark of the town for nearly 30 years.
