The building was built in the 1860s and boasts spectacular views of the city and the sea. It was later updated with a ballroom, making it one of the most prestigious stately properties in the Bahamas.

The National Art Gallery is located on West Hill Street, close to St. Francis Xavier Cathedral and the National Heritage Museum. The building is also within walking distance from downtown Nassau and the cruise terminal. While you’re here, you might also want to check out the Nassau Public Library, a stunning pink-roofed octagonal building that was once the town jail. Inside, you can enjoy the top-floor veranda.
